Overview

The vivo Pad3 Pro is a 13-inch Android tablet for videos, games and light office work. vivo launched it in China in March 2024 as the first tablet with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300. The Chinese reviews are positive: ZOL found no real weak point, and Sanyi Shenghuo says it lives up to its “strongest performance” claim.

The screen is about 4 % smaller than that of the 13-inch iPad Pro. Its 3:2 format is taller than the usual 16:10 and suits documents and sheet music. With 3096 × 2064 pixels (286 ppi) it is sharp, and it runs at up to 144 Hz. vivo gives 900 nits; Anzhuo.cn measured 625 nits with manual brightness and 745 nits in HDR video. The LCD is glossy.

The Dimensity 9300 is still fast in 2026: demanding games ran at close to 60 fps, and the tablet peaked at 35–36 °C (ZOL, MyDrivers). It has 8 to 16 GB of RAM. It got OriginOS 5 HD (Android 15) in May 2025 (IT之家), but vivo publishes no update policy. The Chinese system lacks the Play Store out of the box, but Google services can be switched on and the Play Store added (Smartprix). HD on Netflix (Widevine L1) is not confirmed.

The vivo Pencil2 and a magnetic keyboard with touchpad cost extra. In MyDrivers’ heavy mixed test the 11,500 mAh battery went from 100 % to 20 % in 8.5 hours; charging at 66 W from 10 % to full took 85 minutes. At 679 g and 6.64 mm it is thin, but several reviewers found it tiring to hold. It has eight speakers, Wi-Fi 7 and USB-C 3.2, but no headphone jack.

It sold only in China, from ¥2,999 (8/128 GB) to ¥3,999 (16/512 GB) (IT之家). Now out of stock at vivo, it is sold only by import shops or used, without warranty (Notebookcheck). The iQOO Pad2 Pro (May 2024) is a near twin with a Dimensity 9300+.

Performance

vivo Pad3 Pro: Performance

The vivo Pad3 Pro is powered by the relatively old MediaTek Dimensity 9300 processor, released in 2023 and built on a 4 nm process. It is a fast chip: demanding games, large drawings and video editing run smoothly. Compared with other large tablets:

  • The Apple M5 in the Apple iPad Pro 13″ (M5) is about twice as fast.
  • The MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is about 10 % faster.
  • The vivo Pad3 Pro is about 4 times faster than the Meswao MES-B3 (Pro) and its MediaTek Helio G99.
