Overview
The Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 is a 13-inch Android tablet made for watching videos at home, launched in June 2021 (in China: Yoga Pad Pro). A built-in stainless-steel stand holds it at any angle or hangs it on a hook, and a micro-HDMI input lets it work as a portable monitor for a laptop or a game console. Reviewers liked it as an entertainment tablet: Notebookcheck rated it 86%, Android Authority recommended it, and MyNextTablet gave it 8/10; Tech Advisor found it too expensive.
The 16:10 LCD, a wide format made for videos, is about 6 % smaller than the screen of the 13-inch iPad Pro. With 2160 × 1350 pixels (196 ppi) it is sharp enough, and it supports Dolby Vision, but most reviewers regretted the 60 Hz refresh rate. Notebookcheck measured 404 nits and no PWM flicker; on sunny days the glossy screen needs shade.
The Snapdragon 870, a high-end chip in 2021, keeps apps and games smooth. There are 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage, but no microSD slot. Google Play is included, and Netflix plays in HD (Widevine L1). It launched with Android 11 and no update promise; Android 13 arrived in July 2023 (Touchit).
Lenovo sold no keyboard for it; the optional Precision Pen 2 is less precise than Samsung’s S Pen or the Apple Pencil (MyNextTablet). Battery life is long: Notebookcheck measured 17 h 36 min of Wi-Fi browsing, Android Authority just over 11 hours of screen time, and MyNextTablet 8 h 45 min of video at maximum brightness. All reviewers praised the four JBL speakers. At 830 g it is heavy to hold, it has no rear camera and no headphone jack, and touch input does not work in HDMI monitor mode (Tech Advisor, Android Headlines).
Launch prices were $679.99 in the US and €799 in Europe; today it is mostly found used or refurbished.

Performance

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 is powered by the relatively old Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, released in 2021 and built on a 7 nm process. It is a mid-range chip, fast enough for multitasking, drawing apps and most games; only the most demanding games and video editing will push it to its limits. Compared with other large tablets:
- The Apple M5 in the Apple iPad Pro 13″ (M5) is about 4.5 times faster.
- The Samsung Exynos 1580 in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ is about 20 % faster.
- The Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 is about 70 % faster than the Meswao MES-B3 (Pro) and its MediaTek Helio G99.
Brightness

The screen of the Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 reaches 400 nits according to Lenovo, which is enough indoors, but not for outdoor use in the summer (600 nits is the minimum). Notebookcheck measured 404 nits.
