I am a classical musician (violist) with 20 years of professional experience in orchestra and chamber music. For many years, I have been advising colleagues, students, and fellow musicians in the choice of their tablet.
Along with the many positives of using tablets, I’ve also seen the negatives: tablets crashing just before going on stage, batteries that don’t hold up during long rehearsal days, and missing page turner pedals in concert.
Overview
The Dell Latitude 7350 Detachable is a 13-inch Windows 11 Pro tablet for companies, launched in 2024 and still sold in October 2026. Like a Surface Pro, it has a built-in kickstand, a magnetic keyboard with a touchpad and an active pen. Reviewers liked it: PCMag gave it an Editors’ Choice for business tablets and Techaeris praised its screen and battery, while Notebookcheck (83 %) was less impressed by its processor.
The screen has 2880 × 1920 pixels (266 ppi) in a 3:2 format, taller and closer to a sheet of paper, better for documents. With the same diagonal as the 13-inch iPad Pro, it is about 4 % smaller in area. Notebookcheck measured 507 nits and no PWM flicker, but the refresh rate is only 60 Hz.
The Intel Core Ultra 5 134U and Core Ultra 7 164U are low-power 2024 chips, fine for office work, but Notebookcheck found the Core Ultra 7 slightly slower than the older chip of the Surface Pro 9, and its AI unit is too weak for Copilot+ features. Under load the fans are clearly audible and the tablet gets hot (Notebookcheck, helentech). It has 8 or 16 GB of memory (32 GB at launch) and 256 GB to 2 TB of storage, and it runs all Windows programs.
The backlit keyboard and the pen are included in the default US configuration but often sold separately ($210 and $55, PCWorld). PCWorld measured 12 hours 45 minutes of video playback, StorageReview nearly 10 hours in an office test. Notebookcheck weighed 865 g, or 1,260 g with the keyboard, and the tablet slides on the table in laptop mode. There are only two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a headphone jack; Wi-Fi 7, an IR camera and optional 5G are business pluses.
It is expensive: $2,912 on dell.com in October 2026 with a Core Ultra 5, 16 GB, 512 GB, keyboard and pen.
Pros
- Bright, sharp 3:2 screen (507 nits measured, 266 ppi)
- Long battery life (12 h 45 min of video, PCWorld)
- Built-in kickstand, keyboard with touchpad and active pen
- Solid, thin build (8.9 mm)
- Business features (vPro, IR camera, Wi-Fi 7, optional 5G)
Cons
- Very expensive ($2,912 with keyboard and pen)
- Keyboard ($210) and pen ($55) often sold separately
- Only two ports (Thunderbolt 4) and a headphone jack
- Modest 2024 Intel chip, no Copilot+ features
- Audible fans and heat under load
- Only 60 Hz
Performance

The Dell Latitude 7350 Detachable is powered by the relatively old Intel Core Ultra 7 164U processor, released in 2023 and built on a 7 nm process. It is a fast chip: demanding games, large drawings and video editing run smoothly. Compared with other large tablets:
- The Apple M5 in the Apple iPad Pro 13″ (M5) is about 80 % faster.
- The Dell Latitude 7350 Detachable is about 10 % faster than the Juno Tab 4 and its Intel Core Ultra 5 115U.
- The Dell Latitude 7350 Detachable is about 4.5 times faster than the Meswao MES-B3 (Pro) and its MediaTek Helio G99.
Brightness

The screen of the Dell Latitude 7350 Detachable reaches 500 nits according to Dell, which is enough indoors, but not for outdoor use in the summer (600 nits is the minimum). Notebookcheck measured 507 nits.
Size compared with the iPad Pro and a sheet of paper
