Overview

The OPPO Pad 4 Pro is a 13.2-inch Android tablet sold in China since April 2025, with the same hardware as the OnePlus Pad 3. Few independent reviews exist. Notebookcheck rated it 87% and called it a premium tablet with strong value, held back mainly by the missing fingerprint reader. Chinese launch reviews (ZOL, TechWeb) praised its speed and named almost no weaknesses. In April 2026 OPPO replaced it with the Pad 5 Pro.

The screen is about 1% larger than the 13-inch iPad Pro’s. Its 7:5 format is taller and closer to a sheet of paper than the usual 16:10, better for documents and sheet music. The glossy LCD is sharp (315 ppi) and runs at up to 144 Hz. Notebookcheck measured 672 nits (903 nits in small bright areas), a very low minimum of 0.9 nits and no PWM flicker. Reflections are annoying outdoors, and blacks are grayer than on OLED tablets.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite is among the fastest chips in Android tablets; under long loads Notebookcheck saw about 17% less performance. It has 8 to 16 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of storage, without microSD. The Chinese ColorOS 15 (Android 15) has no Google services, and OPPO publishes no update policy.

The Pencil 2 Pro (¥499) and a keyboard with touchpad (¥699) are sold separately. In Notebookcheck’s test, palm rejection and face unlock were unreliable. Notebookcheck measured about 18 hours of Wi-Fi browsing. A full charge at 67 W takes 1.5 hours (Notebookcheck) to 1 hour 48 minutes (TechWeb). The tablet is heavy (675 g). It has eight speakers and one USB-C 3.2 port with video output, but no headphone jack, GPS or cellular option.

Launch prices started at ¥3,299 (8/256 GB). Outside China, only import shops sell it, with their own warranty. There, the OnePlus Pad 3 is the simpler choice: Google services, 80 W charging, a local warranty and security updates until June 2031.

Pros

  • Large, sharp 13.2-inch 7:5 screen (315 ppi, 144 Hz)

  • No PWM flicker, very low minimum brightness (0.9 nits)
  • Thin metal body (5.97 mm)

  • China only: no Google services, no update policy
  • No fingerprint reader
  • Heavy (675 g)
  • LCD with grayer blacks than OLED (contrast 1,461:1)
  • No GPS or cellular option
  • Replaced by the OPPO Pad 5 Pro (April 2026)

Performance

OPPO Pad 4 Pro: Performance

The OPPO Pad 4 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, released in 2024 and built on a 3 nm process. It is a fast chip: demanding games, large drawings and video editing run smoothly. The same chip is used in 4 other tablets of our database, including the OnePlus Pad 3 and the Lenovo Legion Y900 13. Compared with other large tablets:

  • The Apple M5 in the Apple iPad Pro 13″ (M5) is about 70 % faster.
  • The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in the OnePlus Pad 4 is about 20 % faster.
  • The OPPO Pad 4 Pro is about 5 times faster than the Meswao MES-B3 (Pro) and its MediaTek Helio G99.

Brightness

OPPO Pad 4 Pro: Maximum brightness

The screen of the OPPO Pad 4 Pro reaches 600 nits according to OPPO, which is bright: enough for bright rooms and for outdoor use in the shade, even in the summer. Notebookcheck measured 672 nits.
