I am a classical musician (violist) with 20 years of professional experience in orchestra and chamber music. For many years, I have been advising colleagues, students, and fellow musicians in the choice of their tablet.
Along with the many positives of using tablets, I’ve also seen the negatives: tablets crashing just before going on stage, batteries that don’t hold up during long rehearsal days, and missing page turner pedals in concert.
Overview
The MovinkPad Pro 14 is Wacom’s premium all-in-one Android tablet for artists who want to draw without a PC. Launched in October 2025, it includes the Pro Pen 3. Creative Bloq gives it 9/10 and calls it a new benchmark for Android drawing tablets; Parkablogs ranks it among the best tablets for artists.
The 14-inch OLED screen is about 9 % larger than the 13-inch iPad Pro’s. Its 16:10 format is wide, made for videos. At 243 ppi (2880 × 1800, 120 Hz) it is sharp. Wacom rates it at 400 nits (900 nits peak in HDR); no review measured it. The etched matte glass keeps reflections low (ITmedia saw fewer than on a Cintiq Pro 17), but its feel divides reviewers: Parkablogs, CGMagazine and ITmedia found it smoother than expected.
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is an upper-mid-range chip from 2024. With 12 GB of RAM it stays fast with large drawings. Storage is 256 GB, plus microSD. Android 15 is clean, with Google Play, though X and Bluesky could not be installed. Wacom plans Android 17 for 2027 but has no security-update policy. Widevine L1 is supported: ITmedia played Netflix in HD.
Reviewers praise the battery-free Pro Pen 3 (8,192 pressure levels, tilt) for its accuracy, low latency and palm rejection. There is no official keyboard. Gigazine measured 6 hours 8 minutes at maximum brightness while drawing and streaming video; Parkablogs got at least 9 hours of normal use. No charger is included. At 699 g and 5.9 mm, it is light for its size. It has no camera and no fingerprint or face unlock, weak speakers, and one USB-C port (USB 2.0, no video output).
Wacom raised the US price from $899.95 to $1,099.95 in September 2026 (¥193,380 in Japan). It costs €1,099.99 in Germany (shops from about €885) and £949.99 in the UK. The EVA Edition (Evangelion design, stand and cases included) costs $1,129.95.

- Finally, a real Wacom Android tablet and drawing pad combo!
- 3K high-resolution 14-inch OLED screen
- Anti-reflection and anti-glare textured glass
- Great stylus and broad stylus compatibility
- Good performance
Cons
- The display’s maximum brightness is only 400 nits.
- No cellular / LTE support
- Rather small battery (10,000 mAh)
- Very expensive
- No security updates and Android upgrade policy
Performance

The Wacom MovinkPad Pro 14 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, released in 2024 and built on a 4 nm process. It is a mid-range chip, fast enough for multitasking, drawing apps and most games; only the most demanding games and video editing will push it to its limits. Compared with other large tablets:
- The Apple M5 in the Apple iPad Pro 13″ (M5) is about 3 times faster.
- The Intel Core i7-1165G7 in the Huion Kamvas Studio 16 is about 20 % faster.
- The Wacom MovinkPad Pro 14 is about 2.5 times faster than the Meswao MES-B3 (Pro) and its MediaTek Helio G99.
Brightness

The screen of the Wacom MovinkPad Pro 14 reaches 400 nits according to Wacom, which is enough indoors, but not for outdoor use in the summer (600 nits is the minimum).
Size compared with the iPad Pro and a sheet of paper
