I am a classical musician (violist) with 20 years of professional experience in orchestra and chamber music. For many years, I have been advising colleagues, students, and fellow musicians in the choice of their tablet.
Along with the many positives of using tablets, I’ve also seen the negatives: tablets crashing just before going on stage, batteries that don’t hold up during long rehearsal days, and missing page turner pedals in concert.
Overview
The Meswao B3 Pro is a 15.6-inch Android tablet with a huge screen for little money. It is the August 2025 update of the 2024 MES-B3 (also sold as Azamp and Hoogee); the older version is still sold as the B3 Basic. The hands-on large-screens.com review found a unique size at a low price, but a dim, low-resolution screen, a slow chip and a high weight.
The IPS screen uses the 16:9 format, even wider than 16:10 and made for videos; its area is 28 % larger than the screen of the 13-inch iPad Pro. At 1920 × 1080 (141 ppi), text is not very sharp. Notebookcheck measured 296 nits on the original MES-B3: enough indoors, too dim in the sun, and the glossy glass reflects lamps. There is no PWM flicker.
The MediaTek Helio G99, an entry-level chip from 2022, is fine for video, the web and documents but slow in games. The B3 Pro has 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage and a microSD slot. Meswao now ships it with Android 16, Google Play and Widevine L1 (HD on Netflix and Prime Video); the units reviewed in 2025 ran Android 14 and played these apps only in SD, and older stock may still do so. There is no update policy, and Notebookcheck found security patches over a year old.
Meswao sells an active pen (€45) and a folding Bluetooth keyboard with touchpad (€59). The 12,000 mAh battery lasted 17.6 hours in Notebookcheck’s Wi-Fi test; it charges at 30 W. At 1,085 g (2.4 lb) and about 1 cm thick, the tablet is very heavy, and its four speakers sound thin (large-screens.com). It has one USB-C port and no headphone jack.
In October 2026, Meswao sells the B3 Pro for €379 ($399 in the US) and the B3 Basic (6 GB / 128 GB, Android 14) for €349 ($379). Meswao’s 16-inch B5 and the Acer Iconia A16 are now larger.

- Stylus not included
- No information on security updates and software support duration
Performance

The Meswao MES-B3 (Pro) is powered by the relatively old MediaTek Helio G99 processor, released in 2022 and built on a 6 nm process. It is fine for streaming, web browsing, documents and casual games, but it is not made for demanding games, video editing or heavy multitasking. The same chip is used in 8 other tablets of our database, including the TCL NxtPaper 14 and the Huion Kamvas Slate 13. Compared with other large tablets:
- The Apple M5 in the Apple iPad Pro 13″ (M5) is about 8 times faster.
- The Unisoc T7300 in the Alldocube iPlay 70 Max Pro is about 20 % faster.
- The Meswao MES-B3 (Pro) is about 30 % faster than the Callsky Ctab 14 and its Unisoc T616.
Brightness

The screen of the Meswao MES-B3 (Pro) reaches 350 nits according to Meswao, which is enough indoors, but not for outdoor use in the summer (600 nits is the minimum). Notebookcheck measured 296 nits.
